The RIM Tach® 6200 NexGen Series provides precise and reliable position and velocity feedback from electric motors in heavy duty environments and tough vector-motor applications. It delivers superior ease-of-installation with a generous axial play of up to 0.50 inches and does not require any precision tools or measurements. The new design features stainless steel sensor modules, a ductile cast iron housing, foot-mounted or 56 C-face mounting ideal for "Flower Pot" or belt drive applications and extra heavy duty bearings for a longer encoder life cycle. The sensor modules use a new rugged magnetic technology that delivers a 70 thousandths air gap, the largest sensing gap in the industry. This encoder also comes with a convenient diagnostic LED to provide visual status of encoder functionality.
